A photograph that I took whilst viewing the 2024 total solar eclipse was used to create this digital color pencil sketch. The eclipse is in the diamond phase. With the moon nearly covering the sun, the rays are vibrating throughout the sky. There is a planet, Venus, visible in the rings. The rings are hues of purple, burgundy, green, gray and black.
